Creature Model!

Unless I miss my guess, this photo is of a recent reissue of the classic Aurora Creature model kit!

Shrunken Heads!

I have no idea why someone thought this was a good idea... doesn't strike my fancy at all!

Yeah, I know, I already showed you the Palmer Monsters Creature... but this photo shows you the other monsters they made, as well as the scale!

Creature From the Black Lagoon Australian Poster!

creature_australia

Compare this to yesterday's post, and wonder along with me why they repainted the thing, instead of just adding a "not suitable for children" blurb to the original!

Creature From the Black Lagoon Window Card!

creature from the black lagoon

Did I already post a picture of this item already? Man, not even two full months into this blog and I'm getting confused...

Creature Jiggler!

creature_jiggler

This jiggler was made by either AHI or Ben Cooper... a better-designed one came out a few Halloweens ago and was available at Walgreen's, so you might check there if you don't have one!

The Creature Walks Among Us Italian Poster!

The Gill Man may be a tad off-model, but I do like the design of this poster!

Revenge of the Creature 8mm Box Art!

revengeofcreature2

Sadly, nobody seems to have uploaded the 8mm home movie version of the Revenge of the Creature to YouTube or anywhere else... but here's the trailer:

Horrorscope Movie Viewer!

horrorscope_movieviewer.JPG

If you've been following my other monster blogs, you may have seen this item before, which appears to be like the old nickelodeon viewers, using a series of photos attached to a spool which, when turned, would give the illusion of movement (as opposed to film and a projector). I'd still love to have it!

AHI Creature Figure!

monster_ahi_creature

AHI (Azrak-Hamway International) was involved with Remco (I can never keep track of which company owned which). Oddly enough, this Creature action figure predated the one from yesterday, and as you can see, it's a fully sculpted figure!

What's even odder is that AHI, who produced this line of figures (The "World's Greatest Super-Monsters") in competition with Mego (who apparently passed on the Universal license, instead marketing their own line of more generic Frankenstein, Dracula, Werewolf and Mummy Figures), actually produced a cheaper (as in less expensive) line of figures!

There were two versions of this figure produced, one with a narrower waist that's been designated as the "female" version. I should have that one in my files somewhere! But in the meantime, here's a photo of it out of the package!

Remco Action Figure!

monster_creature_remco

Ever since the Mego Corp. produced their superheroes line with silkscreened costumes (even for the Thing and a Flame-On'ed Human Torch, assuming you know who they were), monster action figures seem to have been cursed with good sculpts on the head, hands and feet, but crappy cloth costumes that shouldn't have been cloth! Case in point: The Creature From the Black Lagoon figure above that Remco produced! I'm not sure if this one had glow-in-the-dark pieces or not, but I can tell you that this line of figures had a button on the back that, if pressed, would cause the arms to reach out and "grab".

Puppet!

frankcreaturepuppet.jpg

Unless they've long since sold out, you should be able to order this Gill Man puppet (in a two-pack with the Frankenstein Monster) in the "Creature Comforts" section on the left!

Palmer Plastics PVC Figure!

creature_palmerfigure64.JPG

This figure was made in 1964, as part of a whole set of monster figures that I wish would be reissued!

Creature From the Black Lagoon Publicity Photo!

This "still" was obviously supposed to help publicize the 3-D effects of the first movie in the cycle!

After the past few days' posts, I figured you'd probably enjoy something with the classic Gill Man right out there!

Dell Movie Classics Cover!

creature movieclassic.JPG

Here's the cover of the issue of Dell Movie Classics that featured an adaptation of "The Creature From the Black Lagoon," and as you can see, the cover featured Creature only bears a vague resemblance to the Gill Man we've come to know and love!

T-Shirt Transfers!

monster_tshirttransfers

As you can see, the Gill Man is well represented here... it would've been nice if this photo was large enough that one could use it to print their own transfer from it, but that would've probably defeated the purpose of the auction listing I got this photo from!
